POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Process Engineer position is responsible for the successful completion of engineering and related technical assignments in support of company projects.  The Process Engineer will utilize technical means and methods in the areas of industrial, mechanical, electrical, automation, food science, and construction engineering, as per each Engineer's area of experience as well as project requirements, to develop and complete technical projects.

Example new system or system improvement projects include: major/minor turn-key plant expansions; modular or plant-level process systems; process piping networks; Clean-In-Place systems; utility systems (steam, air, water, wastewater); feasibility / conceptualization studies; mixproof valve system, ingredient handling and distribution systems; and product preparation (sizing, mixing, blending, sorting, etc).

The Process Engineer will also work in project areas related to process development, including construction designs, system layouts, workflow designs, installation means and methods, and more.  To support other areas of the business, the Process Engineer will also be involved in field crew coordination, project bidding, mechanical design, piping, and mechanical installation coordination, and more.   

This position is full time with benefits available after a successfully completed probationary period.  This will be primarily an office position, with regular travel and site visits required to support our projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. 5 years experience in Sanitary Food Process (or related field) at a process engineering level
  2. B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree preferred; vocational or equivalent technical education / experience required for technical elements
  3. Exemplary qualification in one or more areas of food process system design and operation, such as dairy operations, CIP / sanitation, alcohol / hazardous product handling, bakery / confectionary, etc
  4. Familiarity with all industrial trades – electrical, mechanical, structural, general construction, automation, piping, sanitary regulations, process theory, and operational procedures
  5. Familiarity with sanitary design standards including 3A, NSF, PMO, and FDA and USDA regulations
  6. Excellent organization, multi-tasking, self-motivation, attention to detail, and discipline
  7. Excellent customer service and interaction
  8. AutoCAD v2010 or higher experience is a plus
  9. Microsoft Office suite v2010 or higher is required
