POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Current projects in Sacramento, Chico, Modesto, Tulare, and East Bay areas. Our field crew members are responsible for all installation and fabrication aspects of our Food Process system projects.  All crew members must bring an energetic and positive attitude to work every day, with the mindset to do everything possible to assure profitable, high quality, and on-time installations leading to ecstatic customers.

Field welder and fitters perform pipe fitting, TIG purge welding, piping layout, support structure layouts, related construction / installation tasks, polishing, finishing, and general fabrication.

Applicants should be experienced in sanitary purge TIG welded process piping, polishing, and installation skills.

These positions are full time with benefits available after a successfully completed probationary period.  These positions are field positions, requiring regular travel to and from jobsites.  Travel and stay expenses are covered by Wright Process, including daily per diem allowance paid to each employee, where applicable outside of working radius of our offices and/or employee home locations.  Field crews are deployed from our Lodi CA office.  Our projects are typically located in the Central Valley, Bay Area, and surrounding areas of California, and also include some project locations in the continental US.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. 2 years’ experience in sanitary process installation TIG welding trade work
  2. Knowledge of welding and fabrication elements: filler rod, wire, purge and shield gases, hand tools, power tools, material finishing, material preparation, fit-up, etc
  3. Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel materials is required
  4. Commitment to taking care of company and personal tools, equipment, and components
  5. Experience with industrial maintenance tasks such as pump rebuilding, equipment leveling and aligning, valve rebuilding, etc is a plus
  6. Thorough understanding of sanitary process installation practices
  7. Familiarity with general construction equipment, vehicles, tools, and components
  8. Understanding of industrial safety requirements with a proven history of safe work
  9. Must be a team player and support all coworkers
  10. Valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  11. Must be drug-free, accountable, on time, and have an exemplary work ethic
